On the day leading up to the
Chinese Grand Prix, the
Formula 1 world unfortunately had to learn that
Eddie Jordan has passed away. The Irishman battled with bladder and prostate cancer, which he announced last December. He was 76 years old.
Jordan was a well-liked figure in the world of
Formula 1,
and many from the paddock sent their condolences.
David Coulthard, also had a special post on social media for the Irishman. The two have known each other really well from the paddock and working together in broadcasting, as well as being the co-hosts of their podcast called 'Formula for Success'.
Ralf Schumacher also talked to
Sky Sports Germany at length about the former team owner, who gave him and his brother,
Michael Schumacher their first chance in Formula 1.
Hamilton sees double standards
Lewis Hamilton did not understand in China why he was questioned about his communication with his new race engineer, Riccardo Adami. He said in the paddock:
"The conversation that Max has with an engineer over the years, the abuse that the poor guy's taken, and you never write about it, but you wrote about the smallest little discussion I had with mine." In an interview earlier this week,
McLaren CEO Zak Brown has predicted that
Max Verstappen will begin the 2026 season as a Mercedes driver, adding another layer to the already existing Verstappen transfer rumours. To this, Max's father,
Jos Verstappen also replied in social media, in a very clear manner.
Meanwhile, Max Verstappen disagreed with
George Russell's comments about McLaren's potential dominance in the 2025 season. According to the Mercedes driver, can win every single Grand Prix this year. However, the
defending world champion was yet to draw conclusions about the matter.
