Albon feels valued at Williams: 'They listen to me'

After a year on the sidelines at Red Bull Racing, Alexander Albon is ready for a new adventure at Williams. Albon returns to the grid full of confidence, in part because he now joins a team that is not built around his teammate.
Albon was Max Verstappen's teammate for a while in 2020, but it was eventually decided that he would be on the sidelines in 2021. Now he gets to sit behind the wheel again since he has signed a contract with Williams. The former DTM driver returns to the Formula 1 grid with a lot of confidence: "I'm not a rookie anymore, I know what I'm doing and what I want," he told Autosprint.
New opportunities with team 'that listens to him'
At Red Bull Racing he was clearly the second driver, as the team was very focused on Verstappen. At Williams, there are more possibilities and opportunities for the 25-year-old driver, as the team is not built around his teammate Nicholas Latifi. He is therefore very happy with how Williams is treating him: "It's great to be able to work with this team that listens to me. We listen to each other and try to get the most out of the car."
