Steiner already has possible reserve ready: 'Then he will be very happy'

We may just see Pietro Fittipaldi driving for Haas F1 again in 2022. The Brazilian driver will be deployed by the American team when Mick Schumacher is called up to fill in at Ferrari.
A call from Ferrari
Schumacher is one of Ferrari's two official reserve drivers in 2022. The other reserve is Antonio Giovinazzi, who cannot serve as a reserve every GP due to his Formula E races. Both will be the reserve drivers in 11 GP's this season. Should Charles Leclerc or Carlos Sainz have to miss a Grand Prix for any reason, Ferrari will call on one of these two drivers.
Fittipaldi is ready to go
In the event that Schumacher is asked, Haas is missing a driver. Guenther Steiner let it be known that it is not a big problem if Schumacher has to fill in at Ferrari. "What it means for us is that Pietro will be very happy," says the Italian in conversation with RACER.com. Steiner lets it be known that Fittipaldi is the permanent reserve at Haas and praises the Brazilian by saying that he is very strong in scenarios where he has to suddenly fill in.
"I mean, the possibility that the reserve driver gets to drive the car, if you look at the statistics they are very, very slim. But if it happens, I’m good with that," Steiner stated. Fittipaldi previously filled in at Haas in 2020 after Romain Grosjean's violent accident. Steiner said at the time that he was very happy with the services of his backup.
