Marko believes Verstappen: 'We always involved him'

For years,Red Bull Racing had the goal of winning the world title with Max Verstappen. Last season, the Dutchman finally succeeded by beating Lewis Hamilton. Helmut Marko therefore feels that Verstappen will fit in at Red Bull.
Verstappen made his debut at a young age at Toro Rosso, before moving on to Red Bull in 2016. At the latter team, he quickly proved to be a great talent, but did not yet manage to compete for the world championship. For years it seemed that it was impossible to beat Mercedes. Last season, however, that changed.
Marko enjoyed Verstappen's attitude
In the last season with Honda as engine supplier, Verstappen managed to finish on top. It immediately gave Marko a proud feeling, as he knew he could count on Verstappen in recent years. According to him, it is therefore an important reason that Red Bull is back in possession of the world title after eight years.
"Although we saw that with the Renault engine we would definitely not win a world championship, he was behind the team," Marko stressed in conversation with Autorevue. "We always involved him in what plans we had, also with Honda. That's why I believe his statements that he feels very comfortable with us."
