Verstappen looks forward to test days: "The RB18 looks a bit different"
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen came into action in a Formula 1 car this week for the first time in 2022. However, the conditions were different from what the Dutchman is used to, as he had to drive his Red Bull on ice.
Verstappen drove together with former European Ice Racing champion Franky Zorn in a showrun organized by GP Ice Race in Zell am See. It was also the first time that the single world champion drove with number 1 on his car, and he hopes that this will be the case for a long time to come.
"How many times do you get the opportunity to swap numbers? And number one is the best number out there, so for me, it was very straightforward to pick it. Hopefully, number 33 doesn’t come back next year," the Dutchman let us know on Verstappen.com.
Verstappen looking forward to test days
Earlier today, Red Bull announced the date of the car launch. On February 23, the teams will then start the official test days, which this time will be even more important after the rule changes in 2022. "The RB18 looks a bit different, but at the end of the day it’s still a Formula 1 car. At testing we can do a lot of laps and get a lot of information about the car, which is important. I’m looking forward to it," Verstappen ends.
