The Formula 1 teams are busy developing their new car. A key moment is the so-called fire-up of the engine, where teams test for the first time whether the components of the engine work. Ferrari confirms that they have fired up the F1-75 for the first time.
In the heart of Gestione Sportiva in Maranello, shortly after 5 p.m., the 2022 Ferrari started up for the first time under the supervision of team boss Mattia Binotto and a small group of staff. Because of Covid-19, the rest of the team watched via computer screens.
The power unit could be heard for about thirty seconds. The sounds of the engine can be heard in the tweet below. "This is a very special moment, more so than at similar occasions in previous years. The F1-75 is a completely new car and is the culmination of a journey we all started together a few years back, working as a united and determined team," Binotto reveals on The website of Ferrari.

Will Ferrari opt for a different livery?
The car launch of the F1-75 is scheduled for February 17. The team has been sharing teasers of the new car for several weeks, showing darker shades. It is therefore expected that Ferrari's new livery will feature a darker shade of red. The 2022 season represents a unique opportunity to take advantage of the new rules, and from many corners the prediction is that Ferrari will be back fighting on top.
