According to Priestley, Verstappen may lose his advantage in the Red Bull

Next season the Formula 1 drivers will have to deal with the new regulations, which will make the cars look completely different. Marc Priestley emphasizes that some drivers will have a harder time than others.
A lot will change in terms of aerodynamics, so the drivers will have to get used to the new cars. Max Verstappen has been dominating at the Red Bull team for years. The Dutchman had to deal with several teammates who were not able to drive the car at the same level.
Pierre Gasly already had to leave the team in 2019 after half a season due to disappointing results, while he is now performing excellently at AlphaTauri. Alexander Albon also appeared to have trouble with the Red Bull. "That would point towards the Red Bull having a specific set of characteristics, perhaps linked to the extreme high rake of the car that Max’ driving style absolutely suits, and the car has been tailored around that", begins the F1 expert in his YouTube video.
Is Verstappen losing that advantage?
Priestley stresses that we have often seen Verstappen's teammates unable to deliver the same performance, but that may change in 2022. With the aerodynamic changes, the former engineer says it could just happen that Verstappen no longer has that advantage.
"Could Max potentially lose some of that advantage compared to other drivers? Maybe it falls directly into line with the way Max drives a car and it would be others that suffer, but who knows."
