Perez thinks RB18 will take a lot of getting used to: 'Will take a while'

Red Bull Racing came out with their new car on Wednesday afternoon. With the RB18, the Austrian racing team hopes to at least match last season's performance and win another world title. Sergio Perez is more than satisfied with the new car.
The Mexican experienced his first season at Red Bull in 2021 and struggled immediately. Perez clearly had to get used to his new car, which brought him a lot of criticism. At the end of the season, however, he made up for it by providing an important service to his teammate Max Verstappen at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This year he hopes to give Verstappen a hard time.
Perez enthusiastic about RB18
The 32-year-old is eager to get into the 2022 car, although he suspects it will take some miles to get used to the new car. After all, the regulations are completely different next season. "I think it does take a while to be one hundred percent with it. A lot of rules have changed, also in terms of tyres."
If all goes well, the new generation of F1 cars will allow more overtaking. "We're going to be able to follow each other closely. There are a lot of things we have to learn as a driver and as a team. I'm very interested in the new regulations," said Perez, who in his initial reaction also did not reveal details of certain parts of the RB18.
