Wehrlein wins E-Prix in Mexico, Porsche gets a double
- GPblog.com
Porsche is an iconic brand, which managed to win in many classes. In Formula E, it didn't succeed yet. Until Saturday in Mexico. It even became a one-two, with Pascal Wehrlein winning ahead of teammate Andre Lotterer.
Huge Joy
Of course, there was enormous joy at Porsche and certainly at Wehrlein. The German had been close to his first win in the FE on several occasions. But each time it went wrong. After the pole position, Wehrlein fell back in the race, but he managed to outsmart frontrunner Mortara. Lotterer finished second, well ahead of Vergne in third place.
Mortara retains the lead in the Championship. He has 43 points. De Vries is second with 37 points.
