According to Leclerc, Ferrari brought few updates: "It's a different approach"

On day two of the winter test in Bahrain, it is again Ferrari that impresses. The Italian racing team has been fast throughout the preseason and was therefore quickly identified as the favourite by the competition. Charles Leclerc acknowledges that things are looking very good at the moment, but also points to the possible 'sandbagging' of Mercedes and Red Bull Racing.
Leclerc ended the second day of testing at the Bahrain International Circuit with a sixth time, while teammate Carlos Sainz clocked the fastest time. For the Monegasque, it is mainly the consistency that stands out, as he lets us know in conversation with Sky Sports.
Leclerc cautiously positive about Ferrari chances
According to the Ferrari driver the balance is also good. However, he does not want to say much about the possible title chances of his team. "This means absolutely nothing in terms of performance. Yes, the lap times are not bad for the time being, but that doesn't mean anything," he emphasizes.
The problem with porpoising, which Ferrari suffered from a lot during the winter test in Barcelona, has also already improved a lot. "It's not gone, but much better compared to Barcelona," Leclerc explains.
According to the Ferrari talent, not much has changed about the car since the test days in Spain. "We definitely understand the car better than the first days in Barcelona, but it's not like we arrived with a huge performance gain. It's a different approach," Leclerc concluded somewhat mysteriously.
