Red Bull Racing will start the first Grand Prix from second and fourth. An excellent starting position for the race, which starts this afternoon at 3pm UK time. But the Red Bull-drivers will have to deal with the two Ferraris.
Good race
World champion Max Verstappen is obviously hoping to beat polesitter Charles Leclerc. The Dutchman will start from second. In any case, the objective is clear, Verstappen said during the parade round prior to the race: "We hope to drive a good race and score a lot of points," he said.
Teammate Sergio Perez is also looking forward to the race. "We need to win three places and hopefully we will," said the Mexican, waving to the crowd from a large truck. Still, Perez is not looking blindly at the result. "There is still a lot to learn. It's important to finish the race and get a good result for the team. That would be fantastic."
Getting better and better
Perez is aware that Red Bull has a long season ahead. "It's not important where we are now, it's important where we will be later in Abu Dhabi. The important thing is that we are getting better by the week."
