Leclerc on favorites: 'I think Red Bull will be extremely strong here'

Charles Leclerc can look forward to the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix with great confidence. The Monegasque took victory in Bahrain last weekend, putting him at the top of the world championship standings. However, it does not mean that Leclerc expects to simply emerge victorious again on Sunday.
While Ferrari has had a few difficult years, the Italian team seems to be ready to fight for the world title again. During the opening race, Leclerc and Carlos Sainz already showed a good form, taking first and second place. This weekend, Leclerc hopes to do well again.
"This season has already started last week and obviously every opportunity we have we will take them, just like we did last week," he told Sky Sports and others at the press conference. "So yeah it is going to be important to be here again fighting for the top positions here and then we’ll see for the rest of the season. I really think that development will be a huge thing this year and we need to be on top of that."
Leclerc expects a lot from Red Bull
Leclerc then went on to discuss Ferrari's role as favourites this weekend. According to him, people should not underestimate the qualities of competitor Red Bull, which makes him think that he will face difficult days. "Whether we are favourite or not, I do not know. I think Red Bull will be extremely strong around here."
