Christian Horner believes that Formula 1 should take another look at the DRS rules, after the scenes that took place between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc in Jeddah.

The Red Bull Racing team boss made his comments after Sunday's race, in which Verstappen triumphed after an epic duel with Leclerc. However, the moment when both drivers wanted to pass each other in order to benefit from DRS themselves made for a remarkable scene.

Horner thinks F1 should look at DRS detection

As entertaining as it may have been, Horner says it demonstrates that DRS may need to be used in a different way in the future. "You could see that there was a cat-and-mouse game going on between the drivers, where they were braking to a point where they were accelerating into the corner," says the Red Bull Racing team boss according to Metro.co.uk.

The 48-year-old Briton calls DRS a "very powerful" system and thinks such uses of it would be better avoided. "I think for the next few years we need to look at where the DRS detection is because you absolutely want to avoid getting into that situation," Horner said.
