Here's the biggest difference from the last time F1 was in Las Vegas

After months of speculation, the high word is out. Formula One will return to Las Vegas in 2023 for a third American Grand Prix on the calendar. This is not the first time the gambling city has been the setting for a Formula One race, but there is a big difference from the previous Grands Prix.
Two seasons in Las Vegas
Twice before, Formula One hosted Las Vegas, in 1981 and 1982. Both seasons, the race, officially the Caesars Palace Grand Prix, formed the finale of the season. In 1981, Alan Jones won in the Williams. In 1982, it was Michele Alboreto in the Tyrrell.
At the time, the drivers drove 75 laps of 3.647 kilometers around Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas. From 2023 onwards, the race will also pass the famous casino, but otherwise the differences with the previous editions are significant. First of all, the track is almost twice as long. In addition, the circuit has two long straights where speeds up to 342 km / h can be achieved.
On Reddit, user crobofblack put the two layouts next to each other, which immediately shows the huge difference.
