De Vries relieved: 'It's time now'

Nyck de Vries is gearing up for another race weekend in Formula E. The Dutchman is determined to get a good result at the Rome circuit, especially after the long period without racing.
Whereas the season began in late January with two races in Saudi Arabia and a race in Mexico scheduled two weeks later, the drivers have been out of action since then. This means that the drivers, who are due to race both April 9 and 10, are back in Formula E after a break of almost two months.
De Vries looking forward to race in Italy
De Vries, who came out on top last year, found the recent period quite tough. In a press release from Mercedes, De Vries says he is relieved that a race awaits him again this weekend.
"I’ve had plenty to do since the last race weekend and have managed to maintain a good rhythm," says De Vries. "However, since it’s been so long, it’s about time now that we went racing again in order to continue the season. We had a competitive package the last time we were in Rome, and hopefully, we can build on that again this year. At any rate, I’m real excited at the thought of going racing again."
