Miami GP will be over the top: 'Tickets resold for $20,000'

Liberty Media is investing heavily in American races. Next year they will add the Las Vegas GP and this year the Miami GP will be held for the first time. In the studio of Viaplay they expect a bizarre spectacle.
Miami GP to be over the top
The Miami race promises to be a grand spectacle. The Zandvoort Grand Prix did very well with its return to the sport in terms of fan experience and Miami is trying to beat that. WTCR driver Tom Coronel and former F1 driver Christijan Albers expect the American event to be insane. "It's not just the paddock club anymore, but it's going to be paddock club on paddock club. With pools, it's just Miami; Miami Vice."
The event draws the jet set. There were even yachts laid up in the water surrounding the venue. These yachts could not reach the venues via the water, but were still moved to the grounds by land. Albers: "It's really insane. It's going to be insane. The tickets are now going, what I understood, on the black market already for $20,000."
This is countered by complaints that it is an unattainable event for the 'ordinary F1 fan'. According to the analysts at the table, it is difficult to find a balance between this spectacle in Miami and the romance of standing in the grass along the track at Spa.
