The FIA announced at the end of March that the Formula 1 circus would be admired in Las Vegas starting next season. The news could count on a lot of enthusiasm. Sergio Perez is also behind the choice of the sport, he showed at the FIA press conference.
Partly due to last season's championship battle between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, Formula 1 is more popular than ever. There are many countries that would like to host a Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Las Vegas for 2023 is sure of a spot on the racing calendar.
Perez sees the GP as a great challenge to showcase himself. "In Vegas, it will be a fantastic opportunity for the sport and fans to see the cars. It's a great combination," said Perez, who himself has been to the illustrious city many times. "Oh yes! I have been too many times, so many of my best nights of my life have been in Vegas."
