F1 Power Rankings Imola | Verstappen is unbeatable with perfect score
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen was the big winner of the Imola Grand Prix. The Dutchman took home the maximum number of points, but does he do the same in the Power Rankings of Formula 1?
Each Grand Prix, the F1 Power Rankings judges the performance of the drivers over a race weekend. With pole position, wins in both the sprint race and main race and fastest lap, Verstappen scored a ten from the judges.
"Max Verstappen clinched Red Bull's 75th F1 pole position in a tough qualifying session that featured five red flags, then followed that up with P1 in the Sprint, the Grand Prix victory, and fastest lap. That really says it all – another perfect 10 for the reigning champion, who hauled himself back into the title fight", reads the judges' explanation on the website.
Verstappen trumps Leclerc
Charles Leclerc is not in the top ten this week after his spin in the closing stages of the race. Due to his mistake, the Monegasque lost his podium position and misses out on a large number of points compared to Verstappen.
Lando Norris and George Russell also score well after finishing third and fourth during the race. Sergio Perez shares fifth place with Yuki Tsunoda and the drivers from Aston Martin can also be found at the bottom of the top ten this week. On the scoreboard, Verstappen tops the list with an average score of 9.1, Leclerc follows in P2 with an 8.8.
