Williams receives criticism over tactic for reducing weight

Formula 1 teams have quite a challenge ahead of them this season with the new regulations to optimize the car's performance. One way Williams is trying to get the car faster is by scraping some paint off the car, which makes Jim Wright sceptical. He writes that for The Race.
Almost all the teams have been working hard in recent weeks to lighten their cars, with the drivers using different methods. Williams thought the best way was to take some paint off the car, but so far that has had little effect. Wright hardly takes Williams' decision seriously and advises the team to choose another solution.
"Of course, having a fast car is the best outcome for all aspects of a racing team," let Wright, who worked at Williams between 1994 and 2006, know. "But let’s make good decisions based upon factual lap time reduction and minimal commercial appeal reduction."
Williams performs disappointingly in Italy
Williams just failed to get into the points at the Imola Grand Prix. Alexander Albon finished in eleventh place just behind Lance Stroll. Nicholas Latifi did not get further than a sixteenth finishing position.
