Wolff admires Russell/Hamilton relationship: 'We have the two best drivers'

Toto Wolff admires the positive relationship between George Russell and Lewis Hamilton. Russell is only driving his first season at Mercedes, but the two drivers are able to work well together. According to the team boss, this has a positive influence on the team.
The season is not yet going as planned at Mercedes. After four races, the team is 47 points behind Ferrari's P1 in the constructors' championship. The W13 is still struggling with many problems, leaving the team with a large deficit.
Russell is currently driving his first season with the team and is delivering the best results so far. In Imola, the Briton drove from P11 to fourth place, while Hamilton came no further than thirteenth. Despite the problems, team boss Wolff is impressed with his new lineup.
Wolff praises relationship Russell and Hamilton
"The combination is one of the very few highlights I have at the moment on our journey – how well the two of them work together, with no friction; on the contrary, [they're] very productive and positive for the team", Wolff is quoted on F1.com. "I couldn’t be happier with the driver line-up; in that respect I think we have the two best drivers, maybe two of the three best drivers and they deserve a car and a power unit that fights at the front rather than them being lapped."
Mercedes hopes to introduce updates as soon as possible, perhaps even for the Miami Grand Prix. However, a quick improvement will not come, as the team will have to work step by step to find solutions.
