Results first free practice E-Prix Monaco | De Vries sets fastest time
- GPblog.com
Nyck de Vries has made a good start to the E-Prix of Monaco. The Dutchman was over a tenth faster than Nick Cassidy in the first free practice session and thus finished at the top of the timesheet. Edoardo Mortara had to settle for third place.
De Vries has had a difficult start to the season. Where he ended last year's World Championship winning season, he is now in eighth place after five races with 38 points. Frontrunner Jean-Eric Vergne, who finished eighth in practice, has 22 points more in his hands, so De Vries has something to put right.
Antonio Félix da Costa and Sébastien Buemi fell just outside the top three. André Lotterer, Sam Bird, Jean-Éric Vergne, Jake Dennis and Mitch Evans completed the top ten on Saturday morning, hoping to secure a good starting position a few hours later.

Disappointment for Frijns
Robin Frijns had not yet found the right form in Monaco. The number two of the standings was stuck in the back of the field with his times and eventually had to settle for a twentieth position.
