Binotto: "That's still quite visible with us, more so than with Red Bull"

Red Bull Racing dared to bring updates to the sprint weekend in Imola and achieved double success with them, but Ferrari chose not to bring updates to the team's home race. The same goes for the Miami Grand Prix, so Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will have to wait a little longer for their new parts. Mattia Binotto talks about what his team needs to work on most now, seeing an area where his team is losing out to rivals at Red Bull.
After a difficult weekend in Australia, Red Bull Racing hit back hard in Imola, where the team scored maximum points with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. The key to that success, according to Helmut Marko, was in the updates the team chose to bring, despite the risk involved due to limited practice time in the sprint weekend.
Binotto points out where Red Bull is doing better
Whether the Austrian racing stable will also bring updates to Miami is not known, but work will continue unabated to lose more of the RB18's excess weight. Ferrari has already indicated that, as it did to Imola, it will not bring updates to the next race in Miami either.
The main goal for Ferrari now is to solve the problems with porpoising. "That is still quite visible with us, certainly more than with Red Bull," Binotto explains to Mundo Deportivo. The Italian racing stable will, however, make some adjustments to optimize the F1-75 for the conditions in Miami, but the more important updates will have to wait.
