Vettel must fight back: 'There’s plenty of talk of motivation'

Sebastian Vettel is having a rough start to the season in Formula 1. Because of an infection by the coronavirus he had to miss the first two races, but in Australia and Italy he also failed to convince. According to Edd Straw, the racing team would be wise to look at itself.
Aston Martin expressed several times prior to the season that it would like to be in contention for winning the World Championship within a few years. However, that turned out to be easier said than done, because after four Grands Prix the team is on just five points.
Aston Martin must make quick steps
Vettel grabbed four of those five points in Imola, with which he hopes to find the way up. This will not be easy for him, however, as the competition in the middle of the driver field is greater than ever before. For Vettel it is therefore important to find the motivation within himself, although Aston Martin can also play an important role by improving the car faster.
"Perhaps what it shows is that, even for someone who has achieved so much, it really is about what the prospects are for more good results," Straw stated at The Race. "There’s plenty of talk of motivation, and there’s nothing that motivates an F1 driver more than the prospect of racking up the results."
