Brundle picks Verstappen and Leclerc as best drivers in F1

Martin Brundle discusses during a Q&A from Sky Sports who he thinks are the best drivers in Formula 1. Max Verstappen is the first he mentions and Lewis Hamilton is surprisingly not in his regular top three.
It is difficult to compare different generations of Formula 1 drivers, but also drivers of the same generation are not always easy to compare. The material of a driver plays a big role in his performance and therefore also the image that is created about a driver.
Hamilton is not number one
When Brundle is asked about the best three drivers, he also says it is a difficult question. ''I think Max... Charles (Leclerc).... and then I'm looking at Lewis, George (Russell) or Lando (Norris) as being the third,'' says the former Formula One driver. Remarkably, the name of the seven-time world champion falls late in this list of the Britons.
Brundle finds it difficult to choose at all besides Verstappen and Leclerc because, in addition to the three Brits, he also mentions Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso as drivers who belong to that top. ''A top three is hard as you've got to leave out an absolutely world class driver'', concludes Brundle who thus does not name his final number three.
