Problems pile up for Verstappen on Friday in Miami
- GPblog.com
Friday in Miami is going Trumpy for Max Verstappen. After problems with overheating during FP1 also the second session is not going well for the Dutchman. Verstappen has to go into the garage again after problems with the steering.
Verstappen started the session with a delay, as Red Bull Racing changed the gearbox of his RB18 as a precaution after the problems in the first session. After Carlos Sainz's red flag, the Dutchman was able to drive out again, but soon something appeared to be wrong again.
Verstappen immediately complains over the on-board radio: "Something is wrong, the steering is heavy", the Dutchman sounds. As an answer he is told "fail one" and is ordered to return to the pit lane.
Many problems for Verstappen
The Dutchman could hardly return because he could not steer. His brakes catch fire as well. For the time being the problems at Red Bull do not seem to be solved.
