Lewis Hamilton grabbed P6 during qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix. Although the Briton was very satisfied with his performance afterwards, he assured Sky Sports that he noticed few improvements in the car yet.
The Mercedes driver is having a tough time this season with the German racing team. Whereas in recent seasons he was still fighting for the world title, in the last race in Imola he even had to settle for a place outside the top ten. In Miami, he can start the race from the sixth position.
""Much much better qualifying session, grateful for that," he states. "We will keep on chipping away. So much amazing work going on in the background. I don't think we are pushing forward at the rate we'd like to but we got to keep our heads down and we will eventually get there.
Russel in Miami on P12
Hamilton did a lot better than his teammate in the United States. George Russell did not manage to get into Q3 and had to settle for P12. He starts behind Fernando Alonso who was also disappointed.
