Lucas di Grassi posted an excellent result in the second free practice session of the E-Prix in Berlin. The Brazilian grabbed the fastest time of the session, staying ahead of Edoardo Mortara. The Swiss-born driver had to settle for a second final spot.

Mortara has had a very successful weekend so far. The victory he took in the race on Saturday was very convincing and he also took the first free practice session on Sunday. Over an hour later, however, he could not prevent Di Grassi from being one and a half tenths faster.

Stoffel Vandoorne fought back. In the first free practice session he was in the middle of the pack, but in the second session of the day he set the fourth fastest time. He did not manage to beat Oliver Rowland, so the latter driver ended up in third place.

De Vries disappointed again

Once again Nyck de Vries experienced a disappointing practice session. The Dutchman recorded a seventh time in the first session, but this time he couldn't get any further than fourteenth place. Robin Frijns managed to end up in eighth position, finishing ahead of André Lotterer and Antonio Felix da Costa among others.
