Formula E Berlin | Mortara repeats trick of Saturday in FP1
- GPblog.com
Edoardo Mortara once again managed to finish on top during the first free practice session of the Berlin E-Prix. The driver already won the first race in Germany on Saturday afternoon and seems to have found the right form again a day later.
The Swiss-born drove a time of 1:06:373, putting him ahead of the competition. André Lotterer finished his Porsche in second place on the leaderboard, while Jack Dennis could also be found in the top three. The Briton drove a few laps less than Mortara and Lotterer.
Stoffel Vandoorne was still in the top spot on Saturday, but was unable to hook up during the first free practice. The Belgian finished in fifteenth position, so it seems that he and his team still have work to do to come out on top in the second race.
De Vries works hard on improvements
Nyck de Vries did his best to improve further and succeeded quite well. With a seventh time, he could not be completely satisfied, but it gave him the perspective he needed. His fellow countryman Robin Frijns had to settle for sixteenth place, between Vandoorne and Dan Ticktum.
