Isack Hadjar's F1 debut did not go the way he wanted. In fact, it barely went at all as he landed in the wall on the formation lap of the Australian Grand Prix. Helmut Marko was not happy with the young driver's reaction afterwards.
Helmut Marko did not like how Hadjar reacted to crashing during the formation lap of the Australian Grand Prix. Speaking on a broadcast by Austrian ORF, the Red Bull advisor said he was not enamoured with his driver's reaction. "Tearing show. A bit embarrassing," said the 81-year-old.
Marko not happy with Hadjar's reaction in Australia
The Australian Grand Prix started on schedule at Albert Park's rainy circuit. However, the race was soon thrown into disarray when Isack Hadjar spun on the wet track and ended up backwards into the wall.
This crash ended the French-Algerians' first race. The 20-year-old then burst into tears on his way to the paddock where he was then able to receive comfort from Lewis Hamilton's father. In the paddock, Anthony Hamilton clasped the youngster in his arms and told him to 'keep his head up'.
