Isack Hadjar

Isack Hadjar will make his Formula 1 debut in 2025 for the team Visa Cash App RB (Racing Bulls). The Frenchman is the new teammate of Yuki Tsunoda and follows Liam Lawson, who has been promoted to Red Bull Racing.

 

Isack Hadjar in F1

Isack Hadjar was born on September 28, 2004, in Paris. He holds both French and Algerian nationality but competes under the French flag. He began karting in 2015, and in 2019, he made his single-seater debut in the French Formula 4 Championship. He won his first race at Spa-Francorchamps and finished seventh in the standings with 118 points.

In 2020, the Frenchman competed in the UAE Formula 4 Championship, racing in two of the five race weekends. His best result was a fourth-place finish, and he ended the season 11th in the standings with 56 points. At the same time, he also raced in his second season of French F4, where he won three races and achieved eight more podiums. He finished third in the championship.

In 2021, Hadjar moved to the Asian Formula 3 Championship, where he secured five podium finishes and finished sixth in the overall standings with 95 points. He also competed in the Formula Regional European Championship (FRECA) that year. There, he won two races, had four more podium finishes, and ended up fifth in the standings with 166 points.

Isack Hadjar in the Red Bull Junior Team

2022 was a pivotal year for the Frenchman, as he was included in the Red Bull Junior Team. Hadjar raced for Hitech Grand Prix in the Formula Regional Asian Championship, where he won two races, earned three podiums, and finished third in the championship with 134 points.

He also made his Formula 3 debut that year, racing again for Hitech. He won his first race in Bahrain and then claimed two more victories throughout the season. With two additional podium finishes, he ended the season fourth in the standings with 123 points.

In 2023, Hadjar made his debut in Formula 2, again with Hitech. He had a challenging season, with only one podium finish in Austria. He scored 55 points and finished 14th in the standings. In 2024, the Frenchman continued in Formula 2, but this time with Campos Racing. The season was much more successful, and Hadjar remained in contention for the championship until the final race, which ultimately went to Gabriel Bortoleto.

Isack Hadjar Makes His F1 Debut in 2025

In 2025, Hadjar will debut in Formula 1 with Visa Cash App RB, replacing Liam Lawson, who was promoted to Red Bull Racing. He will become teammates with Yuki Tsunoda. Hadjar has already had the opportunity to participate in three Formula 1 free practice sessions: FP1 in Mexico in 2023, FP1 in Silverstone in 2024, and FP1 in Abu Dhabi in 2024. He also took part in the post-season test at the Yas Marina Circuit.
