Honda present in F1 after all in 2022
Honda will be the main sponsor of the Japanese Grand Prix in 2022. The Suzuka Circuit announced this via a press release. The Grand Prix, which is scheduled for the weekend of 7 to 9 October, will be known as the Formula 1 Honda Japanese Grand Prix.
This is the first time since 2019 that Formula 1 will travel to Japan again. Indeed, in 2020 and 2021 the Grand Prix was cancelled due to the coronavirus.
Honda out of F1 with a highlight
Honda left Formula 1 at the end of last season after a seven-year period following partnerships with McLaren, AlphaTauri and Red Bull Racing. It was with the latter team that the greatest successes were achieved, especially with Max Verstappen's World Cup win in 2021.
It has been confirmed that Honda will be the title sponsor of the Japanese Grand Prix in this season’s 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship.
