Mick Schumacher found himself in Q3 today for the first time ever in his Formula 1 career and although he wasn't able to capitalise on it, the young Haas driver is happy and confident ahead of tomorrow's Spanish Grand Prix.

"We are starting P10 tomorrow so we are in the points but we need to stay there and hopefully gain positions," Schumacher told Sky Sports. "Barcelona is a track that is hard to overtake on so people make mistakes when they push too hard to overtake."

The Haas driver wasn't able to get onto the track in FP3 due to a failure with one of his rear breaks, which was on fire. The Haas team worked hard to get his car ready for qualifying and the German was able to have a strong session, in which he was very thankful for his team. "They did a great job and to be able to jump into Q3 without doing FP3, is a great effort from everyone in the team."
