Red Bull Racing leads the constructors' championship for the first time this season. Thanks to the 44 points scored in Spain, the deficit to Ferrari has been turned into a lead of 26 points. Mercedes also did good business in the sixth Grand Prix of this year thanks to a third and fifth place.

Mercedes' gap to runner-up Ferrari is 49 points, but after the German team's dramatic start to the season that gap is still manageable. That Toto Wolff's team will finish lower than third in this year's World Championship seems by now to be virtually out of the question. McLaren, Alpine and Alfa Romeo are clearly a bit short.

Behind the three 'traditional top teams', McLaren with a P4 and fifty points is now the best-classified formation. However, the differences are still very small and so it can still go either way. Aston Martin and Williams still have the most work to do, as they are respectively on six and three points.
