Russell praises FIA in Monaco: "They saw the weather coming"

George Russell was satisfied with the result after the race in Monaco. The Brit managed to finish behind Ferrari and Red Bull Racing in fifth place, gaining ten points for his team.
The driver looked back on a challenging race. "It was tough. Fair play to the FIA for the delay because I think they saw the weather coming in and it was undrive-able conditions when we attempted it on the first occasion. Then the second red flag with the track drying up one dry line is never easy," he told Sky Sports.
Despite the difficult Sunday afternoon, Russell saw plenty of positives to go on. "There was definitely a lot of positives from that race. I think on the hard tyre before the second red flag, we were the quickest car on track and that was a really fun stint and a bit clos with Lando Norris on the pit exit."
Hamilton once again defeats Russell
Russell once again outperformed Lewis Hamilton in Monaco. His teammate, who ran away with the victory in 2019, finished in eighth position and did not get past Norris or Fernando Alonso. Russell thus increased the difference with Hamilton by six points.
