Sainz's pole causes internet astonishment: 'I didn't see that coming'.

Carlos Sainz caused a surprise in Britain by setting the fastest time in qualifying and securing pole position. Many on social media were also surprised, although the support for the Spaniard was also palpable.
@Carlossainz55 becomes the 2nd Spanish driver to secure pole in @F1.

Last time @ScuderiaFerrari had a pole with a Spanish driver was at the Germany 2012 GP (Alonso) where they went on to win.#Sainz is the 34th @ScuderiaFerrari driver to secure a podium in F1.#BritishGP #F1
Happy for #Sainz to get his first #F1 #P1 qualifying at a rain drenched #BritishGP today. This may be his only chance to win a race, ever. However, #Verstappen & #Leclerc are right behind him & it could get feisty at the start to gift #Perez or #Hamilton a win at #Silverstone!
