Doctors declare Zhou fit for Austria GP: 'Finished the final checks'
- GPblog.com
After the violent crash in the opening lap for the British Grand Prix, Guanyu Zhou has been declared 100 per cent fit for the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix. The Chinese driver slid upside down through the first corner at Silverstone and ended up between the tyre wall and fence.
A few days after the events at Silverstone and a day before the action starts again at the Red Bull Ring, Zhou has passed the final check that the Alfa Romeo driver is fit enough for the Spielberg circuit. The Chinese driver has collected six points so far, in his first season in Formula 1.
Fit for Austria
Immediately after the race, Zhou was back in the paddock at Silverstone, where it appeared that he had no major injuries from the crash. After the final checks by doctors in Austria, it appears that he has again crawled through the eye of the needle and can therefore start the GP-weekend in Austria without injuries.
