Hamilton and co. warned by FIA regarding track limits at turn 10

The FIA has revealed what is expected of the drivers if they step off the track this weekend at the French Grand Prix. The Paul Ricard circuit is perfect for brief off-track excursions because of its long run-off lanes, but Formula 1 drivers will be dealt with harshly if this happens.
Track limits GP France
As with the Austrian Grand Prix weekend, it is relatively easy for drivers to colour outside the lines. In qualifying, your time will be taken away if you have been outside the white racing line with four wheels, in Sunday's race you have three warnings. If it happens a fourth time, you get a five-second time penalty.
In Saturday afternoon's qualifying session, Verstappen and co. will have to watch out for turn 10 in the final sector. If you go over the line there, not only your lap time will be taken away, but also the time of the next lap. Valuable minutes will be lost and may result in too little time being left to push for that final run.
Why the FIA has opted for this is not entirely clear. The French circuit has fifteen bends, so it is not the case that in your next lap you benefit from having left the track for a while. In any case, it means that you have to watch out.
