Strong Ferrari expected at Spa: 'My money would be on Charles'

The Formula 1 drivers have had a few weeks of holiday. This weekend, the start of the second half of the season awaits them with the Belgian Grand Prix. Juan Pablo Montoya expects Ferrari to take the win, he told Vegasinsider.com.
Ferrari ended the first half of the racing year disappointingly in Hungary. While Max Verstappen started the race from tenth position and Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz were allowed to start from third and second respectively, both drivers failed to finish ahead of the Dutchman. In fact, they both missed out on the podium.
Ferrari's chances in Belgium
The Italian team has been working hard behind the scenes to resolve its structural problems and hopes to put its affairs in order in Belgium. Montoya believes the Spa-Francorchamps circuit suits the qualities of the Ferrari car well.
"My money would be on Charles. I am normally a big Max guy to win all these races, but I think that track might be a Ferrari track," judged the former Formula One driver, who also rates Red Bull highly. "I think Red Bull has a lot of pace too. It is a good track for a guy like Checo, I think he performs really, really well."
While he is convinced Ferrari will come out on top, he thinks the Austrians will also impress. "I think Checo is going to be right there, I think Max is going to be right there, but if I would put a bet today, my bet today would probably be on Charles with the Ferrari."
