Leclerc does not want to think too long ahead
- GPblog.com
Charles Leclerc faces an enormous task in the second part of the season to catch up with championship leader Max Verstappen. Eighty points is the difference. A big gap, especially when you saw the balance of power on the track. But as we all know, Ferrari had to deal with reliability problems, strategic blunders and unnecessary accidents.
It is not surprising that Leclerc needed to recover. "I needed it," he said at the press conference before the Belgian Grand Prix. "The first part of the season, was full of highs and lows. Full of emotion which leads to being tired. I was happy to go on holidays. I used the three weeks in the best way possible with my friends and family, it was great."
Not looking far ahead
Leclerc doesn't want to think about the tough task ahead. "We take it one by one. For sure we need to maximise every chance we have ahead. I still believe in the championship, it will be a very difficult challenge but I will believe in it until the very end."
