Audi and Porsche will do different things
Besides Audi, Porsche will also be represented in Formula 1 on behalf of the Volkswagen Group. The two brands are said to do this in their own way. Audi is said to take over the Sauber team (now called Alfa Romeo Racing, ed.), while Porsche will probably work as engine supplier to Red Bull.
It is perhaps striking that the Volkswagen Group board is opting for two completely different strategies, but Wolff says he understands the reasoning and thinks it is logical. "One team will be a fully integrated factory team in Switzerland and the other will work with one of the best F1 teams in the world.
