Lewis Hamilton was competing for the world title with Red Bull Racing last season, but this season he is unable to give Max Verstappen a hard time. The Dutchman is on course for his second World Championship victory and that does not surprise Hamilton at all.

Apart from the qualities of Verstappen himself, the British driver sees that Red Bull is having an excellent season with a strong performance. The Austrian team also looks set to take the Constructors' Championship at the end of the season.

"There are bits to our car that are good and there is performance in there," Hamilton told Sky Sports. "It's just whether or not we can utilise it. You want a car that works on every single track you go to. The Red Bull works at the majority of places and it's understanding why."

"Red Bull have got the aero balance and good ride quality, no problems with bumps," Hamilton continued. "They are a great team and they've done an amazing job. Red Bull had a great car last year as well."

Hamilton has tough season with Mercedes

Hamilton managed to get on the podium no less than five times between Canada and Hungary. However, things went wrong at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit when the seven-time world champion crashed into Fernando Alonso and had to retire.
