The Autodromo Nazionale di Monza comes to mind when you think of Ferrari, but it is also a home track for Scuderia AlphaTauri. Red Bull Racing's Italian sister team is marking the 100th anniversary of the iconic circuit with a historical photo series.

AlphaTauri is based in Faenza, just south of Monza, and considers this weekend's race a home race for their Italian fans. The team has won twice, most recently in 2020 when Pierre Gasly took the trophy on the top step after a thrilling race.

3 September 1922

Monza is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and AlphaTauri is celebrating. In a special article they describe the origin of the circuit, an idea of Automobile Club Milano, who wanted to celebrate their 25th anniversary. On September 3, 1922 the first race was held on the Italian track. AlphaTauri takes the reader on a journey through the development of the track, the first time it was driven at 200 kilometres per hour and their own successes on the track. Everything is framed with historical pictures in which they have placed their own AT03.

Unfortunately for AlphaTauri it is still uncertain if they will be starting with Pierre Gasly this weekend. Gasly did not come to the track today on doctor's advice and it remains to be seen whether he will be present in the coming days.
