Martin Brundle is disappointed with the way Sergio Perez has performed over the past few weekends. The Mexican is still outperforming reigning world champion Max Verstappen and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel, Brundle told Sky Sports.

The former Formula One driver and commentator for the English medium has noticed that Perez has been searching for the right form in recent weeks. However, Brundle sees no solution coming, leading him to believe that the problems are difficult to solve.

"Sergio has definitely lost his way a little bit with the Red Bull car at the moment," states Brundle, who notices that Red Bull are struggling to solve the problems. "I'm sure if he knew, they'd sort it out very quickly. But it just doesn't seem to play to his strengths behind the wheel and then you lose a bit of confidence and trust on the braking point."

Perez has mixed season at Red Bull

Perez only managed to take victory at Monaco this season. In addition, he was good for a second place finish at six Grands Prix, putting him in second place in the world championship along with Charles Leclerc. At the Dutch GP, he finished in fifth place.
