Nyck de Vries' ninth place at his debut in the Italian Grand Prix is not yet entirely certain. The FIA have started an investigation into the Dutchman for careless driving. This would have happened behind the safety car.
Should De Vries be found guilty, the minimum penalty is five seconds and that would mean he would fall outside the points for finishing under the safety car.

The race management has looked into the situation and forwarded the incident to the stewards. De Vries is expected at the stewards at 5:30 PM local time to explain the incident.
