F1 boss where he wants to go: 'It would be a dream'

Stefano Domenicali is working hard behind the scenes to take Formula 1 to the next level in the coming years. Not only should the sprint races make a significant contribution, but the excitement should also increase in other ways. Speaking to Italian Corriere della Sera Domenicali discusses the current situation of the motorsport class.
Since the start of 2021, Domenicali has been at the helm of Formula 1 and is trying hard to make strides with the teams. This season's new regulations already created a lot of battles on the track, and that pleases Domenicali. When asked what has been the highlight as Formula 1 leader so far, he is quick to name it.
"That was the world championship that was decided last year in Abu Dhabi on the last lap of the last race, apart from the controversy," Domenicali says. "I hope it can become a habit. It would be a dream if every world championship was decided in the last GP."
Domenicali on Ferrari in Formula 1
This season, Red Bull Racing faces Ferrari as a competitor. Domenicali knows the formation like no other, as he himself was in charge of the team between 2008 and 2014. He experienced exciting years there, which he still looks back on with a good feeling.
According to him, it is unthinkable that Formula 1 and Ferrari will ever part ways. "They are inseparable. And I think Ferrari's top management feels the same way." The last time Ferrari grabbed the world title was in 2007, when Kimi Raikkonen won it.
