AlphaTauri came out on Thursday morning with the news that Yuki Tsunoda will also be part of the team next season. The Japanese driver is enjoying himself and feels that he is moving forward, he said in an interview with Give Me Sport.
Tsunoda managed to finish in the points for three race weekends so far. Whereas in Bahrain he immediately grabbed eighth place, in Imola and Spain he managed to secure seventh and 10th respectively. Even after the winter break, however, Tsunoda feels he is showing himself.
"I’ve been able to continue the progress I had done in the first half of the season every race week," he revealed. "I aim to continue that progress. In Spa and in the Netherlands performance was quite good, I felt confident straightaway and on the long runs as well there was quite good pace."
"So yeah, I mean, I’m quite happy with the performance so far and also working with AlphaTauri. Like, right now we’re not in the ideal situation and also with performance for sure but I’m enjoying working with them and extracting the performance each race."

The Formula One teams will travel to Singapore in early October to complete a race, after which Tsunoda has an important weekend ahead of him. Indeed, the driver can be admired in his home country a week later. Tsunoda is looking forward to performing on the circuit.
