Honda: 'Full support to make these machines the fastest in the world'

After an uncertain period for Honda, it has been announced before the Japanese GP weekend that the Japanese engine manufacturer will strengthen ties with the Red Bull Group. Honda will again be visible on the AlphaTauris and on the Red Bulls.
Following the collapse of the deal between Red Bull and Porsche, Honda has been particularly quick to re-establish ties with Red Bull. The Japanese engine manufacturer had just pulled out of Formula 1 as of this year. Behind the scenes, the partnership remained, but officially Honda was no longer supplying engines to AlphaTauri and Red Bull.
Honda determined to be the fastest in the world
Honda Racing Corporation President Koji Watanabe said in a statement, "The HRC logo on the nose and Honda logo on the side of the race machines of both teams represent the strong ties between Honda and Red Bull Group. Through the technical support provided by HRC, Honda will fully support the challenges those machines take on to become the ‘fastest in the world.’
No better time could be imagined for the announcement. Honda's home race is scheduled this weekend and if Max Verstappen wins the race with the fastest lap then the Dutchman can secure his second F1 title. Watanabe: "We are very pleased that these machines will be unveiled at the F1 Japanese Grand Prix, where Honda serves as the title sponsor. Please root for the two Red Bull Group teams which compete with power units loaded with Honda technologies.”
