Verstappen offers personal help: 'I enjoy working with'

Several Formula 1 drivers are not satisfied with the performance of the wet tyre which is said to be too slow. Max Verstappen agrees with that criticism. Speaking to Formule1.nl, he says that he is even willing to help tyre supplier Pirelli personally.
Last weekend, drivers again had to deal with a lot of rainwater lying on the track. After the race started, the drivers decided to rush inside to change their wet tyres for the intermediates.
Remarkably, the rain tyres were as much as five seconds slower than the intermediates, so teams did have to change to avoid a big gap with the competition. According to the reigning world champion, the situation needs to change soon, preferably as early as next season.
Verstappen wants to give Pirelli advice
Verstappen points to the past when rain tyres were a lot faster. "I don't want to snub anyone, but I think we need better rain tyres," he commented, adding that the tyres also do not drain enough water.
"I enjoy working with. Maybe we can organise more test days on a wet track and work together. We should try to find better tyres so that we at least have a chance to really drive in the rain."
