Max Verstappen achieved a perfect score in the Power Rankings of Formula1.com. The judges rated the two-time world champion with a 10, as he could not be caught out on any fault, according to the assessors in Japan. He thus left rivals Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc far behind.

At the Japan GP, Esteban Ocon also stood out positively. The Frenchman managed to finish fourth on behalf of Alpine, putting him ahead of Lewis Hamilton. Despite the Briton still trying hard to beat Ocon, the driver held firm. Therefore, he finished in second place with a 9.0.

Sebastian Vettel closed the top three. The German had to start the race from P9 and eventually fought his way to the front, earning an 8.6 according to the judges. Perez followed close behind with an 8.4, while Fernando Alonso's seventh place was good for an 8.0.

Leclerc failed to finish among the first five drivers. The Monegasque kept Perez behind him during the race, but still received a penalty from race control at the end and lost his place. It ensures Leclerc gets a 7.8, a similar mark to Nicholas Latifi. Hamilton (7.6), Lando Norris (7.0) and George Russell (6.8) are also among the top 10 drivers.

Verstappen retains lead in standings

Verstappen's sky-high mark means he remains at the top of the standings. The Red Bull Racing driver has an average of 8.8, putting him above Leclerc (8.2) and Russell (7.8). Norris has the same average as Russell.
