Wolff reacts cynically to Horner: "I almost had to squeeze out a tear"

Christian Horner, at the press conference in Austin, strongly criticised the behaviour of Zak Brown, who allegedly accused Red Bull Racing of cheating in a letter to the FIA. Horner's remarks could be met with a sarcastic response from arch-rival Toto Wolff.
When Germany's Sky Sports asked Wolff for a reaction to Horner's statements, the Mercedes team boss could not suppress a small smile. ""I almost had to squeeze out a tear when I heard that," he sounds sarcastically.
Wolff responds cynically to Horner
Wolff does not believe a word of the story that Red Bull would only have spent more on things not related to the car. "The fact is that nine out of ten teams stayed under the cost cap. The fact is that one team is now arguing that they slipped over with supposed non-performance issues. But then again, those apply to all of us," he continued.
According to Wolff, Mercedes has also considered how many sandwiches are handed out and how various other cost items are handled. "Whether it's a million, two or five, is a cash benefit that you can translate into development."
As such, the Austrian cannot muster a shred of sympathy for the story Horner shared regarding everything that comes across Red Bull's team members. "It's a bit of reverse psychology: who is the victim here? I think it's the nine teams," Wolff's harsh assessment said.
